Another great MACBU meeting has come and gone. A big THANK YOU to all those who came out to the meeting to learn about iMovie. For those of you who could not make it to the meeting, MacBU is hosting a short film contest! Please see/email an e-board member on how you can enter the contest.
The e-board cannot wait to see your submissions at our future meeting—this will be awesome!

This meeting’s raffle prize went to general member Mr. Patel who won a $10 gift card to CVS, congrats.

See you all at our next meeting on Monday, November 9, 2009.

Sincerely,

Osvaldo

About time, right?

Due to the current consumer culture as well as some nefarious entities (*cough BU print quota cough*), we’re now uploading all of our current and future meetings’ agenda here, so you can download it easily.

The address:

Go there and simply download the latest agenda, thanks!

The Unofficial Apple Weblog posted yesterday about a website for buying textbooks on the cheap: Bigwords.com!  TUAW’s explanation says best:

A good way to explain Bigwords is to take you through the process. The Bigwords.com app lets you set a bunch of preferences, each one reducing your options a bit. You can choose books that are new only, new or used, high quality new or used, set shipping preferences, consider eBooks or rentals (along with rental terms) and whether you require a guaranteed buyback from the vendor.

Not only that, but the service has its own iPhone app!  So I suppose that would be useful - if I weren’t already pretty set on waiting until classes start, and then buying the books I’m sure I need from Amazon.com myself…  But hey, let me know if you try it out.
